This lamp was designed by Marco Zanuso Jr. and me. The idea came up as we observed the shape of a water drop on a surface. This was the starting point. We had this project in mind for a while, at a time when LED technology was not as advanced as it is today. Finally, the original idea ended up drifting into a system entirely based on innovative principles of optical computing and LED technology.
